My Latitude and Longitude

On this Website you can see your Latitude and Longitude geocoordinates and afterwards you can display your current position on the map.

When you click on the Button 'Get my location' your Geocoordinates will appear. You have to wait some seconds until the Longitude and Latitude will appear.

Explanation

The Geocoordinates consist of two values. The Latitude, which describes the north/south position, and the Longitude, which describes the east/west position. The unit of the Latitude and the Longitude is degree (° = degree), and because the earth is round, you would need two circles to define the exact geolocation in degrees (1 circle = 360°). The Equator has the Latitude 0, and the North Pole has the latitude 90° or N90°. The South Pole has the latitude -90° or S -90°. Now back to Geocoordinates. The Longitude would be a line from the North Pole to the South Pole and it would increment to the East and decrement to the West. The Latitude 0° is to the right of the UK and on the left of France and leads to the North- and the South Pole. On the West of this line, the Latitude decrements till the value W -180° and this would be the opposite site of the Latitude 0°. On the East from the Latitude 0°, the Latitude increments till E 180°. On the next picture, you can see everything on a graphic. Longitude/Latitude displayed on Earth
